We all experience what we perceive to be either "positive or negative" events in our lives.
A once believed "negative" event in my life in 2010 almost ended my career in Law Enforcement. I awoke from surgery, that was supposed to be routine, with left sided facial paralysis at the age of 37. I was unable to speak clearly, swallow solid food and my left eye was in the "open position" due to the paralysis. I lost over 30 lbs. and had to wear an eye patch with a taped eye lid to prevent blindlness. It was during those 6 months I discovered what I was made of. I experienced some of my darkest hours during that time. With the support of my amazing daughter and several close friends, I was able to dig deep and push forward. I returned back to my career and vowed to take every opportunity shown, and even those not yet seen!
